The Total Rewards & Analytics Specialist is a solution-focused professional responsible for the development, implementation, administration and communications of total rewards solutions that support business objectives.
This Specialist will also produce reports and dashboards to inform business decisions and strategies. The incumbent’s depth of experience in human resources, total rewards, technology, analysis, and technical writing will be leveraged to evolve progressive strategies, programs, data-driven solutions, and communications. This role reports to the Director, Total Rewards.
Here are some additional details related to the total rewards accountabilities:
- Architect or refresh salary compensation structures and incentive compensation plans
- Participate in third-party surveys and complete benchmarking to assure competitive compensation
- Perform job evaluation and advise on salary compensation in accordance with GreenShield salary compensation structure and GreenShield guidelines
- Advise Talent Acquisition team regarding total rewards templates and details to secure top talent
- Lead activities related to maintenance of union and salary pay equity plans
- Support plan design, contract administration and financial management responsibilities for benefits plans and other non-cash benefits
- Oversee the employee recognition program design, administration, and reporting
- Develop policies, processes and communications related to total rewards, leveraging ESS capabilities
- Participate in broader Human Resources and Total Rewards policy/program development

- Produce People reports and dashboards
- Analyze trends, and determine data-supported insights
- Support governance accountabilities through timely completion of required reports and audits
- Ensure access to People data is managed in a secure and confidential manner in accordance with relevant policies
ABOUT YOU
You are a progressive professional who is innovative, works with agility and speed, has a strong digital ability, and is passionate about impacting the employee value proposition, engagement, and organization goals. You will also bring to the table:
- University degree with a focus in Business, Human Resources, or related field
- 5 years of demonstrated experience in total rewards in a progressive, high-performing organization
- Experience in pay equity plans and compliance
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and legislation across Canada
- Superior competence for interpreting, distilling, and translating data to inform strategies and drive business decisions
- Manages through ambiguity; can determine a clear vision and plan
- Strong technology and reporting skills – HRIS/HCM, MS Suite (expert Excel skills)
- Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills with strong attention to detail
- Clear and effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of internal and external clients/partners, and stakeholders
- Approach scope of work with a continuous improvement lens, identifying process enhancements and efficiencies
- Highly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to exercise discretion, tact, and professionalism in dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information
- High energy and ability to work independently
- Ability to occasionally travel to other GreenShield office locations
NICE TO HAVE
- Certified Human Resources Professional designation (CHRP or CHRL)
- Certified Compensation Professional designation (CCP)
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau)
- Bilingualism (English/French)
