Total Rewards Specialist

We are partnering with a leading Real Estate Investment Trust to recruit a Total Rewards Specialist. You will be responsible for the implementation and administration of comprehensive total rewards strategies that align employee rewards with results that support the business objectives. This position will be reporting to the Senior Director of Total Rewards. It is a hybrid position with 3 days per week working from the office.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the successful delivery of broad-based and executive compensation strategies and incentives, benefits, wellness, and pension programs, and other reward programs;
  • Support regular compensation cycle, year-end activities, bonus payout calculations, job evaluation, etc.;
  • Design and implement new incentive programs as well as support company executive compensation programs;
  • Manage and work on the Pay Equity program;
  • Support the Benefits and Pension program design and development;
  • Oversee execution of related projects;

What we are looking for:

  • Someone who is self-driven, energetic and willing to take ownership;
  • Broad-based compensation experience is a must-have – ideally 5+ years of experience contributing to annual processes (year-end, salary increases, bonus payouts); job evaluation; salary survey submissions and analysis. Executive compensation, equity compensation or budgeting experience is an asset;
  • Benefits and pension experience is a plus;
  • Strong analytical skills – data hygiene, problem-solving, deriving insights from data;
  • Intermediate to expert Excel;
  • Consulting/advisory skills – the ability to present findings and recommendations; presentation skills in writing and verbally;
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of employees including senior leadership as well as the business;
