    Job Description

    The Talent Company is partnering with a leading financial institution to recruit for a Global Compensation Lead. Reporting to the Director, Global Compensation, the Global Compensation Lead will be responsible for providing advisory services to senior business leaders and HR business partners within the investment teams, in alignment with company's compensation philosophy and strategy. The role will also develop compensation policies and provide guidance on the implementation of compensation plans in line with industry leading practices.The company is based at Downtown Core and this is a hybrid position.

    Job responsibilities:

    • Lead the design, implementation and maintenance of total compensation plans and policies to maintain market competitiveness and alignment with business strategy;
    • Provide advisory services and compensation recommendations to senior business leaders and HR business partners to impact strategic business decisions and drive results;
    • partner with leadership to execute newly designed global compensation processes, continuously improve based on trends and analysis, and make recommendations to resolve exceptions
    • Participate in discussions with the external compensation advisor to the Board during the plan design process;
    • Conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure design is achieving required strategic outcomes;
    • Develop strong external networks and liaise with compensation peers in other organizations/industries to share compensation information and exchange best practices;
    • Support the development of compensation reports and recommendations for Human Resources Committee review and approval;

    What we are looking for:

    • 5+ years of experience within Compensation. Strong analytical skills and Excel;
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal;
    • Confident communicating with different levels of employees including senior executives and working directly with internal/external stakeholders;
    • Someone entrepreneurial and self-driven;
    • Ability to think and act strategically and to operationalize strategy into long- and short-term implications;
    • Ability to build rapport and maintain high level of confidence and integrity at all levels of the organization;
    • Experience with financial services industry considered as a strong plus
