You have:

  • Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related field, with an HR related designation (ie CHRP/CHRL or similar);
  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources focused on compensation, benefits and pensions, and employee services (ie. Employee mental health and wellness);
  • Proven track record leading and inspiring HR teams to great things (5+ years);
  • HR experience in unionized environments;
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to influence new ways of doing things to improve the organization's operations;
  • Ability to adapt well and thrive in a fast-paced changing environment; and 
  • A passion for people analytics and using insights to improve decision making, increase productivity, and
  • streamline work processes.
Nice to have:
  • Certification in Compensation (ie CCP) or Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP)

What you will do:

  • Be a trusted advisor for Senior Leadership in the development and delivery of Total Rewards, Wellness and workforce analytics programs;
  • Oversee the development, design and administration of total rewards (compensation, benefits and pensions) that align with the organization’s people strategy;
  • Provide strategic and thought leadership around employee wellness service priorities and programs ensuring alignment and support with business priorities;
  • Develop insight into the future talent needs of the organization factoring in talent availability and external labour/skills market trends;
  • Provide consultation to the business on complex strategic workforce planning issues and participate in strategic planning discussions to facilitate understanding of skills and resourcing needs and gaps;
  • Provide expertise and advice to senior leaders when developing organizational design changes in an effort to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Oversee the design and implementation of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism strategies/recommendations ensuring alignment with compensation programs and processes; and
  • Inspire, engage, coach and mentor a team of highly skilled HR professionals fostering an environment of trust, collaboration and high-performance.
