Job Description

IBI Group is seeking a talented Compensation Consultant to join their Human Resources team at the Toronto head office! As an integral part of the Human Resources team, you will play a key role in thought leadership the development and implementation of compensation programs within IBI Group as we continue to grow. The successful candidate will not only exhibit excellent analytical and research skills but will also show an ability to establish meaningful relationships with stakeholders across all levels of IBI Group and educate them on compensation analysis and data. We are supportive of a remote work set-up, however, this role will require you to be at the Toronto office at different times in the year for major meetings and projects.

Most of the Things You’ll Work On:

  • Responsible for the research, design and implementation of compensation programs and procedures
  • Leads and facilitates annual, mid-year compensation review globally, and annual global incentive program
  • Acts as system administrator for Compensation Management System and Shareworks
  • Responsible for salary administration
  • Market Survey participation
  • Provide analytical and consultative support in the development, design and maintenance of sales incentive and compensation plans and policies related to IBI Group’s SaaS products.
  • Research current compensation trends to ensure IBI’s compensation programs are competitive
  • Provide recommendations regarding compensation issues and programs based on research and analysis
  • Various reporting and data analyses
  • Creation and maintenance of salary structures globally
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition, Human Resource Business Partners and Managers on job leveling, market pricing and guidelines around internal and external offers for hires and internal promotions
  • Provides education and strategic consulting on compensation programs to Human Resources Business Partners and Managers
  • Manages the configuration, testing; facilitate end-user training to leaders and Human Resources Business Partners
  • Responsible for the maintenance of Pay Equity compliance within Ontario locations and other local gender pay gap reporting as needed
  • Acts as the lead resource on job leveling for new position and existing inquiries
  • Manage and optimize vendor partner relationships

You'll Need To Have:

  • 4 to 7 years’ experience in corporate compensation
  • Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or comparable degree, or equivalent experience
  • Experience within a consulting or entrepreneurial environment is preferred
  • CCP certification is an asset
  • Ability to partner with various stakeholders within the organization to educate and influence on compensation best practices including the C-Suite
  • Ability to work in a stand-alone compensation role and robust decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • High integrity and ethics in handling of confidential information
  • Ability to get involved in the details while maintaining broader view
  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel

We are currently in a work from home model during COVID-19, but when we do return to the office we're located at 55 St. Clair Ave West, this office is steps away from St. Clair station and is easily accessible by bike, TTC and car. Occupying 7 floors, with over 700 employees, it is the largest office at IBI Group. The floors are open concept and represent our collaborative approach to projects.
