As member of the Rewards team, supports the delivery of the Company’s Global Mobility program, including expatriate and relocation programs, global immigration, and income tax compliance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Efficiently administer all expatriate and relocation programs including domestic and international relocations and assignments, ensuring global immigration and tax compliance
  • Provide subject matter expertise on all global mobility elements, and sound advice to HR Business Partners through research, analysis, & consultation
  • Manage relationship with external service providers including relocation partners, immigration lawyers, and income tax providers to facilitate a high quality mobility experience for our expatriates and transferees
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the expatriate or transferee, on country-specific requirements
  • Consult with talent acquisition, managers and HR on talent driven mobility needs
  • Advise on the set up of secondment and relocation contracts
  • Support Policy benchmarking & design
  • Prepare cost projections and track global mobility costs required for quarterly and annual reporting
  • Work with HRBP and business leaders near end of assignments to determine repatriation, localization, or extension of assignment
  • Drive process improvement including development of tools and resources to streamline and automate key Global Mobility processes
  • Support and drive cost savings initiatives through effective program and exception management
  • Act as Rewards Subject Matter Expert (SME) by responding to queries and issues raised through the Employee Experience Centre
  • Participate as a project team member on various Rewards related projects

KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

  • 6+ years in a global mobility role with excellent working knowledge of expatriate and relocation processes and practices through RMCs, service vendors, and operating platforms
  • Knowledge of tax, immigration, and social security regulations worldwide
  • Knowledge of expatriate benefits offerings
  • Practical knowledge of modern Global Mobility and HR practices
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills specifically in Excel
  • Working knowledge of HR systems is beneficial, particularly SuccessFactors and ServiceNow
  • Proven understanding of international expatriate management; focused to develop understanding of McCain, our customers, and consumers
  • Proven resiliency and collaboration in the face of challenging circumstances
  • Displays accountability with a focus on business and customer results
  • Experienced in analyzing data/information to communicate recommendations which positively influence business results
