| The Assistant Secretary reports into the VP Secretary, providing support to the Board of Directors of the Association and ensuring that all internal governance and external regulatory requirements are adhered to. This position will lead the facilitation and preparation of meetings as well as tracking action points and support the Secretary in the delivery of strategic priorities. The Assistant Secretary will also support the VP Secretary and the President on Association wide matters and take a active role in key areas of governance delivery, implementation of existing or new external requirements and the Annual General Meeting. Events | Assistant Vice President | The Assistant Vice President, Events reports to the Vice President of Events and provides support in leading and overseeing the activities of the Events Committee which is mandated to set an ongoing innovation of events that develop our members both professionally and personally. This includes keeping abreast of topical areas impacting total rewards while discovering new and interesting ways to deliver thought leadership that will engage members. The AVP, Events ensures member feedback is incorporated into the events planning process and that there is a focus on continuous improvement through post event reviews. The AVP, Events will support in enabling effective delivery of events that add value to the membership proposition and works closely with the VP, Communications and VP, Member Engagement to create excitement and awareness. Strategic Initiatives | Coordinator, Strategic Initiatives (Volunteer) | The Coordinator, Strategic Initiatives partners closely with the Vice President and Assistant Vice President, Strategic Initiatives to support the development and implementation of the long-term strategic direction of the GTA Rewards Association. The specific initiatives that underpin the long-term strategic direction may vary from year-to-year depending on the specific focus of the association, the membership needs and key initiatives for a particular year. The portfolio will typically include supporting a series of initiatives including website development and maintenance, spearheading corporate sponsorships and partnerships, and community and future practitioner outreach.
