Humbled, honored, privileged… and excited!

Dear Members,

I am humbled, honored and privileged to assume the role of President of the GTA Rewards Association (GTARA). I am deeply grateful to my predecessor, Nadia Cerisano, for her leadership and outstanding contributions to GTARA during her presidency, and the members of the Board.

I am inspired by the collective commitment from our members and volunteers - the growth of GTARA has been propelled collectively by the individuals and all the past presidents and past members.

Welcome to our new Board of Directors: Ali Akgunes (Events), Nadia Savino (Secretary), Chris Lee (Communications), Manny Campione (Education), Kate Beckett (Membership), Asuncion Dorotheo (Finance) and Rahim Bhayani (Strategic Initiatives). We look forward to fulfilling the mission of GTARA…Ideas, Connections, Growth.

We have a successful track record of our ongoing commitment to ensure that all of our valued members are informed, connected, and fully engaged. In addition, the GTARA is proud of our meaningful presence in our community in which we all work and live.

Ideas. 
Ideas as we continue on our strategic path of delivering high value thought-leadership seminars and education, and even more exciting career growth opportunities. Member access to top-tier networking and learning events, and we continue to advance the professional practice of Total Rewards through the delivery of focused courses in partnership with WorldatWork.

Connections. 
Connections are a cornerstone of the GTARA’s ongoing commitment to our members. We continue to engage with all members through a holistic social media presence, information sharing and engaging events. We continue to cultivate enriched connections within the next generation of talent through our ongoing commitment to Student Outreach leveraging HR related programs with local universities and colleges.

Growth. 
Growth of the Total Rewards profession across the GTA by innovating and striving for excellence in everything we do for our members. We continue to provide opportunities for volunteer experience through various committees and Board roles which we post to ensure we continue to provide opportunities for personal and professional development.

The year ahead is exciting and I’m looking forward to connecting with you at our socials, networking events, outreach and course offerings.
